Translucent material light distance issue

in the screenshots Gpu particles effect, but the problem is present and meshes with Translucent material.. The problem is solved in two console commands r.TranslucencyLightingVolumeInnerDistance xxxxxx r.TranslucencyLightingVolumeOuterDistance xxxxxx   but it does not store the entered value and pre restart is necessary to enter them again.

# Particle

. particle flicking 문제 >  Particle Bounds 기본값이 1 이기때문에 가까운 거리에도 lod 가 적용됨 

       > Bounds 항목의 Use Fixed Relative Bounding Box 값이 True면 Bounds값을 올려서 해결. False면 가변적으로 빌보드 크기에 맞춰짐.

 

  

. Emitter 에서 Vector Field 의 transform은 Emitter의 Transform과 별도로 Local Vector Fileld의 translation 값으로 이동하고  VF Init Rotation 으로 회전

. Color over Life의 Color Picker에서 HSV의 V명도 값을 올리면  Out val의 컬러값 프리뷰에서 오버값에 의한 색상이 gradient되는것을 확인할수 있다.

Smoke AFC 


manual 이미지 확인 필요.

Smoke light strength가 몇 개의 voxel보다 작아 0으로 되면 일부 영역의 조명이 갑자기 변경되는것과 같은 예기치 않은 결과가 발생할수 있다,

그래프의 급격한 변화는 불안정한 결과물을 보여준다.

l  smoke AFC는 0보다는 조금 높게 잡고 급격한 변화는 피한다.

l  Fire에는 적합한 형태가 될수 있다.

 

PF Operator


FumeFX의 이동을 follow 해야 하는 상황이라면 FumeFX velocity channelexport.

PF에서 cache update를 수동으로 한다. TP에서도 마찬가지.

수동으로 하지 않으면 속도가 급격하게 느리다.

 

Matte / Shadow Material


Matte / Shadow Material 에서 그림자표현을 할때는 Matte / Shadow Material의 색값을 1로 변경한다. (색 속성값중 Value1로 셋팅)

 

Adaptive Grid Practices.


Adaptice Grid #1


 특정 time range에 영향을 주지 않는 소스(Simple,Object,Particle)가 있다면 range내에서는 activeoff 해준다. 그렇지 않으면 매 frame마다 영역안의 adaptive grid는 반복적으로 늘였다가 값을 적용하지 않을때는 즉시 다시 축소한다. 즉 메모리와 시간낭비를 초래한다.

 (time range외에 설정된 gridoff해준다.)

Objectparticle Source를 사용하고 sourcebounding boxFumeFXbounding box를 넘어가면 FumeFX는 모든 step grid를 늘린다음 값의 적용되지 않우묜 다시 축소한다.

메모리와 시간낭비가 된다. (가급적 sourcegrid 내에 포함)

 

Adaptice Grid #3


 Force or Turbluence를 통해 adaptive grid 를 어떻게 확대하는가?

Grid adaptive sensitivity 0,0 으로 셋팅.

gridactive source가 없으면 FumeFX source를 하나 만들고 Free Flow 설정을 한뒤 모든값은 0으로 셋팅.

(dummy source를 만들어 영역을 확대시킨다.)

 

 

Running simulation on 3DS MAX Slaves


한 시스템에서 하나의 시뮬레이션만 가능, 병렬 시뮬레이션은 지원하지 않는다.

l  Backburner 를 사용해서 salve 시뮬레이션을 시킬경우 FumeFX UI의 네트워크 시뮬레이션을 활성화 하고 3DS Max의 네트워크 렌더링으로 image save 없이 1프레임만 지정해서 렌더링을 건다.

Slave 컴퓨터에서 Dummy 렌더링이 걸리면서 FumeFX simulation이 작동한다.




System Scale

MXS에서만 적용가능.

* The System Scale parameter is only accessible through MaxScript. Here’s a quote from Kresimir Tkalcec from the Afterworks forums:


“Some params that are visible from MXS and not documented are not officially supported, and/or they’re used internally.”


To set the parameter say to a value of 0.5, simply select your FumeFX Grid Object and enter this to the Listener:
